Info
A wine created in collaboration between Roland Velich and Villa Tolnay in Unarn. Riesling and Furmint were harvested separately and matured separately in large wooden barrels. After at least 1 year on the lees, they were then blended in equal parts.
Color
Light straw yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose
The refreshing 2021 Hidden Treasure cuvée of Riesling and Furmint pours out of the glass with mineral elegance. After the flint notes are initially wonderfully present, fruity flavours of apple, green pear, peach and citrus emerge. There is also a hint of lemon thyme, mint and sage. An animating fragrance, as crystal clear as a mountain spring.
Palate
The refreshing and beguiling impression on the nose continues on the palate, where a very nice sweet juiciness is added without any residual sweetness. A wine that is carried by a wonderful salty minerality and awakens the desire for more with every sip. Dishes that are as purist as this wine are a perfect match. More of this, please!
