This unique Zweigelt was left to macerate in a concrete egg for nine weeks before being bottled without further intervention.
A deep, saturated violet red covers the bottle, a rich colour that runs through to the rim.
The 2020 Zweigelt Natural unfolds a broad spectrum of scents and aromas - with a strong focus on cool berry fruit and black cherries, complemented by a range of wild herbs and dark plum jam. The fruitiness is embedded in a striking spiciness and minerality, which in turn harmonise with seductive notes of violets and roses, creating an overall inviting atmosphere.
On the palate, a pure juiciness meets refreshing acidity, saltiness and fine tannins. This red wine is full of character and refreshing while showing potential for development. In its youthful stage, it goes best with cuisine that is as authentic and natural as it is. To develop its full potential, it should definitely be decanted and drunk from large glasses.
