Wine information
The Vacqueras Blanc comes from a small plot of 0.3 hectares planted in 2011. It is an east-facing slope with blue and yellow clay. The wine is a cuvée of 80 % Clairette and 20 % Bourboulenc. After hand-harvesting, the whole grapes were directly pressed, spontaneously fermented and aged in concrete tanks for six months.
Color
transparent bright copper
Nose
Adrian Roustan interprets the Vacqueras Blanc Modern and with a light touch of fresh wood. The wine is reminiscent of orange blossom and bougainvillea, grapefruit zest, ripe pears and lightly toasted almonds.
Palate
On the palate the Vacqueras a slightly creamy nutty note that enters into a liaison with wood, citrus notes, peaches and pears. The wine appears silky and lining, at the same time fresh and lively. The woody note, which was very present in previous vintages, has clearly moved into the background here. In the finish, it has tart hints of fresh citrus zest.
