Wine information
The wine comes from the winery's 16 hectares of vineyards. The vineyard is characterised by clay, silt and sand on asteric limestone and lies at an altitude of 80 to 106 metres. 70 % Merlot, 20 % Cabernet Franc and 10 % Cabernet Sauvignon were used for this wine. The vineyard is cultivated biodynamically. Agroforestry and permaculture are also integrated. After manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation took place, followed by ageing in used oak barrels for 24 months. The wine was bottled without the addition of sulphur, filtration or fining.
Color
dark garnet-red
Nose
The 2018 Closerie Saint Roc has an aroma of concentrated ripe fruit of cassis, blueberries, cherries and blackberries with hints of mocha and dark chocolate, leather, herbs and a chalky, chalky note.
Taste
On the palate, this is a juicy, downright palatable wine. Bordeaux with a medium body, powdery tannin, a sensually ripe acidity and a round and elegant dark fruit, which is also characterised here by a little mocha, leather, chocolate and herbs as well as a hint of Bret is traversed.
