Nose

The Champagne Brut Rosé from de Sousa smells intensively of wild raspberries, wild strawberries, cassis and elderberries. The intense fruity note is accompanied by clear herbal and spicy notes reminiscent of rosemary, juniper, bay leaf, clove and freshly ground white pepper. Powerful and mineral it reminds intensely of wet stone and earth.
 

Palate

On the palate, the Champagne Brut Rosé from de Sousa is just as powerful and intense as on the nose. The juicy berry fruit is accompanied by a stimulating mousseux, fine salty notes and a distinctive spiciness. This makes it an excellent food companion.
 

Winery Info

In the heart of the Côte des Blancs lies Avize, the home of the De Sousa et Fils champagne house. These vineyards, probably the most famous in Champagne, provide excellent grapes of the coveted Grand Cru quality, from which all of De Sousa's biodynamic champagnes are pressed. But it is not only the sites and the old vines with an average age of over 45 years that are responsible for the perfection, but also the art of champagne production. The gentlest pressing of the grapes and slow, careful ageing of the base wines are a matter of course.
All in all, the champagnes reflect in an absolutely skilful way the highest terroir quality that Champagne has to offer.
