Info
Who is Bruno? In fact, the not-so-little dog that inhabits and guards the courtyard of the Nittnaus winery.
This wine is strongly influenced by the next generation, i.e. Lydia, Martin and Andreas Nittnaus.
The Pétillant Naturel is based on Blaufränkisch with a touch of St. Laurent.
The Blaufränkisch was pressed as a rosé after a short maceration period. The St. Laurent was added for a second fermentation in the bottle.
Color
Bright dark pomegranate red with light reflections
Nose
2021 Bruno smells wonderfully intense of a variety of red and dark fruits. Blackberry and raspberry are in first place. Red currant, cassis and elderberry vie for third place. Sweet cherry, but also red apple and lemon come in complementary. A fine, grassy tone is reminiscent of morning dew. Lemon balm and thyme give it a fresh herbal kick.
Palate
On the palate, it seems slender and juicy at the same time, the carbonic acid sets in immediately and obviously. With great perlage, it initially refreshes the palate and pushes the fruit away to the back. This makes it seem light and uncomplicated. Its fine herbal spiciness reappears in the finish and almost dominates the potpourri of all kinds of berries.
