Francesco Leanza's wines are like the image of this region - gentle monuments full of depth and finesse that reflect the winemaker's dedication and passion for the Sangiovese grape. His wines invite you to linger, to indulge. They are an authentic reflection of this wonderful terroir on which they were created. His four vineyards are protected from the cold north winds thanks to their ideal south or south-southwest exposure. The clayey-sandy skeletal soils provide ideal conditions for Sangiovese, which is mainly grown on the estate. The barren chalky southern slopes give the wines their typical tannic structure and lend them their characteristic minerality.
