Color:
Muted golden yellow with slight cloudiness and copper reflections.
Nose:
The cuvée of Vermentino, Malvasia and Trebiano definitely needs the carafe to open up. Then deep yellow and fleshy aromas pour out of the glass. Blood orange, vineyard peach, sea buckthorn, honey and apricot jam impress first before mingling with the spicy aromas of cedar, juniper and freshly cracked white pepper. Aniseed and fennel seed delicately ethereal round off the impressive explosion.
Palate:
On the tongue, the 2017 Gronda creates a wonderful symbiosis of fleshy fruit, oiliness, fine sweetness and an animating bitter note. A wine that you can literally chew and that can be combined excellently with rich and aromatic cuisine. Impressive that it gets by with its expressive character with only 11 Vol%.
