Colour & appearance

Classic, transparent ruby red colour with youthful brilliance - a Nebbiolo that visually reveals its origins in the sandy soils of the Roero.

Nose

Pure cherry fruit dominates the bouquet with a spectrum of flavours. Sour cherry up to the black heart cherry. These are joined by Plums, Blackberries and the typical Nebbiolo core note. Ethereal notes of Orange zest and cedar flavour with Black and white pepper give the wine complexity and citric freshness.

Palate

Juicy, fresh and wonderfully uncomplicated, this Roero presents itself as a reliable everyday wine with character. Youthful, polished tannins harmonise perfectly with animating acidity, which leads the wine to an ethereally cool finish. An open-hearted Nebbiolo without airs and graces that is an instant delight.

General information

Luca Faccenda and Carolina Roggera have been cultivating their vineyards in Canale with organic certification since 2010. On the characteristic sandy soils of the Roero, which once formed the seabed, they produce authentic wines with a clear terroir expression. At 13.5% alcohol, this 2021 is perfectly balanced.

The lively acidity and polished tannin structure make this Roero the ideal companion for Ossobucco Milanese, Grilled mullet with pointed peppers or vegetarian dishes such as Baked salsify with tarragon vinaigrette.
