Info
The Dolcetto grapes only come from our own vineyards and grow on a very old formation of calcareous to clayey soils, which are shaded in colour from light grey to pink. Veins of pebbles, calcium carbonate and iron also appear time and again.
The wine is matured to 100% in steel tanks to preserve its fruit and freshness.
Color
Dark, bright ruby red with light reflections
Nose
The Dolcetto d'Alba from 2022 skilfully combines plenty of dark fruit with balsamic spice. It may sound dense and powerful, but it is not meant to be. Fruit and spice are wrapped in a delicate and cooling cloak. Sweet cherry, elderberry, raspberry and blackberry appear generous and expansive, but always on the light-footed side. A fine spiciness of juniper and colourful pepper mingle with this. Leather and some cedar wood are perfectly integrated here. Cocoa butter and some milk chocolate round it off wonderfully.
Palate
As was to be expected, it brings filigree and elegance to the parquet. Juicy, fine fruit that is always lean and taut in the glass. Acidity and fine tannins dance around the fruit. Its spicy nuances come to the fore again and again. Animating, appealing and uncomplicated. A wine for everyone, with everything and always.
