Wine information
The white Terra de Cuques is a blend of 60% Garnacha Blanca and 40% Pedro Ximenez. The vineyards lie at an altitude of up to 600 metres, at the foot of the Montsant mountains. Winemakers Dominik Huber and Tatjana Peceric ferment the whole grapes spontaneously in steel and concrete tanks. The white wine then matures for six months in concrete tanks. Although the wine does not see any wood, it is full-bodied and complex.

Nose
As with some wines from Terroir al Limit, this wine also has this stimulating, subtle reductive note. In general, the bouquet is multi-layered and of high intensity. It contains flavours of apple, quince and pepper, it is spicy and wonderfully fresh.
Palate
On the palate, this white wine is full-bodied and creamy, powerful but not heavy. It has fine silky tannins and is excellently structured - the contact with the skins during fermentation certainly plays a role here. Measured against the hot 2022 vintage, this wine is also impressively fresh and citrusy. It also develops a lot of grip and tension on the palate and has a spicy, mineral finish that lingers for a long time. It's nice to see that invigorating flavour doesn't necessarily have to come from ageing in wood or from the omission of wood. All in all, this is a very gastronomic wine that almost demands to be paired with food.
