- Colour & Appearance
- Luminous, dense purple with violet reflections – a visual statement that announces the concentration of this Tuscan Syrah right in the glass.
- Nose
- An aromatic fireworks display of impressive complexity: blackberry, sweet cherry and mulberry dominate, flanked by fig, blackcurrant and preserved morello cherries. The dark fruit is accentuated by black pepper, cinnamon and juniper. Mediterranean herbs – rosemary, oregano, liquorice – lend depth to the bouquet, whilst coconut, liquorice and melted dark chocolate provide refinement. With air contact, ethereal notes of mint and eucalyptus unfold.
- Palate
- Here Luca d’Attoma’s mastery reveals itself: despite enormous density and concentration, this Syrah remains elegant and controlled. The intense fruit is enveloped by a silky, cooling mantle. The tannin presents itself as butter-soft and melting, whilst a gripping acidity provides freshness and tension. The fruit tastes serious and generous, accompanied by ethereal components. A subtle, well-buffered peppery note underscores the youth of this powerhouse.

- Expansive and lingering for minutes, characterised by eucalyptus and liquorice. The fruit resonates generously – an impressive finale.
- Terroir & Origin
- The vineyard in Riparbella is described by the winemakers as „extreme“: clay-rich, stony, with limestone in the subsoil and exposure to the Tyrrhenian Sea. The 17-year-old vines benefit from this demanding terroir.
- Grape Variety & Vinification
- 100% Syrah, hand-harvested and double-selected. Fermentation in conical 1000-litre vats and barriques, of which 30% as whole-bunch fermentation. Following 30 days of maceration, a 22-month maturation in French oak (80% first-fill). Neither racking nor filtration before bottling – purist winemaking in its purest form.

- Tomahawk steak from the charcoal grill, braised ox cheeks with port wine jus, game dishes or surprisingly also roasted beetroot with parsley pesto and walnuts.
