Info
Mesquida Mora sits in the south-western interior of the popular holiday island. The synchronicity of life is more than a way of life for Barbara Mesquida Mora. Sincronia Blanc combines the youngest vines of the native variety Premsal with the oldest Chardonnay plants as well as smaller portions of Parellada and Giró. The Premsal undergoes a maceration period before fermentation. The other grape varieties are pressed directly without standing time before vinification. She sees it as a puzzle of vinification techniques. All four grape varieties are vinified individually and later combined.
Color
Rich lemon yellow with slight cloudiness and greenish reflections
Nose
2021 Sincronia Blanc by Mesquida Mora reveals to us hints of apricot tart and mirabelle crème slice. Short pastry and ripe yellow fruit. Associations of burnt meringue and caramel strike out in the same direction. Grilled pineapple and a little mango then contribute plenty of exoticism. All these yellow notes are joined by a nuance of green aromas. Kaffir lime leaves, lime zest as well as some green papaya spread out in the glass. Wet chalk and cold smoke are set to the smallest level. Dried Mediterranean herbs, above all sage and oregano, as well as mint finally round it off,
Palate
On the palate, it starts off punchy and full-bodied. The fruit is rich and concentrated in the glass. At the same time, the fruit seems juicy and is characterised by a fine acid contrast. 2021 Sincronia Blanc manages to counter this intense fruit with some cool elements. This clearly enhances the drinking flow and the mellowness. The exotic aromas clearly characterise the aromatic picture on the palate. The memories of fine patisserie recede a little into the background. Apricot and mirabelle plum remain, however. In the aftertaste, the smoky component has a delicate effect alongside a breeze of herbal spice.
