Wine information
What you will discover here is a rosé full of character, created from 100% Pinot Noir. About half of the fruit used to make this vibrant drop came from Jurassic limestone and the other part from Eocene flint. The process of extraction was a mixture of direct pressing and red wine saignée techniques. The grape substrate was then fermented in stainless steel, ultimately to be bottled directly after fermentation.
Color
This rosé is defined by a vibrant coral colour that makes it stand out on any table.
Nose
With hints of sweet and sour cherries, raspberries and stone fruit, this Sancerre Rosé exudes complexity and refinement. Notes of herbs and chalk accentuate its fragrance. You will also notice hints of nutmeg pear and cassis, making the fragrance profile distinctive, as if a little Sauvignon Blanc has crept into the mix.
Palate
This wine is truly a pleasure for the palate - dry, juicy and enlivened by a slightly tannic note. It convinces with a stony spiciness and at the same time brings elegance into the glass with its rounded texture. The aroma is characterised by berry fruits and a fine extract sweetness. Slightly green, grassy notes round off the profile without seeming immature. An uncomplicated yet enjoyable Sancerre Rosé.
Food recommendation
A variety of dishes are recommended to accompany this finely tuned rosé. Try a fresh strawberry and melon salad with buffalo mozzarella, crispy ciabatta with air-dried ham or spicy shakshuka with chorizo. The diversity of this wine offers numerous culinary possibilities.
