Nose
The wines of Alfredo Arribas know very well how to combine dark fruit and the cool accents of the slate rock. Black cherry, blackberry and wild berries are clear. The intense fruit, however, does not come across as cheesy or jammy, but clearly and precisely brought out. A little pine and rosemary complement the fruit aromas with ethereal nuances. A little cocoa butter and black pepper add additional spice. Above all, however, the dark slate in the form of wet stones and presumed minerality makes its scent mark here.
Palate
It seamlessly ties in with the expectations of the nose. Elegant and sublime. Not even remotely heavy. The fruit is dark and confirms the impressions of the nose. The etheric notes also reappear. The minerality sets clear accents and shapes the taste picture for a long time on the palate. Cool, stony and dark. At the same time, it presents itself very juicy. The powerful acidity pushes it along again and again. Fortunately, Grenache lives from this acidity, which clearly enlivens the Negre de Negres. The minerality is clearly noticeable. Like silk on the palate. The fruit lingers on the palate for a long time.
