Wine profile
This exclusive wine has its roots in the unique terroir of Planetes in Porrera. More than a decade ago, Ester Nin and Carles Ortiz discovered mysteriously rare Carignan blanc vines in the vineyard. With great care and dedication, they nurtured these rarities, transforming the original 20 plants into a potent array of 3,000 vines per hectare.

The grapes were gently pressed and the juice was put together with the grape skins and stems for a fortnight. The juice was then gently transferred to 300-litre neutral barrels, where it went on a natural fermentation that lasted between 40 and 180 days. The wine then matured in used barrique barrels before being bottled in April 2022 with a touch of sulphur.

Colour scheme
The wine shines in bright yellow with silver reflections, a true visual feast for the eyes.

Scent
The 2021 Planetes de Nin Blanco initially reveals a striking minerality with a youthful and still somewhat restrained character. Aerodynamically decanted, it unfolds an intoxicating fruit palette of quince, star fruit, pear, peach and apple skin, merging with fennel, aniseed and dried biscuits. Hints of tobacco and white nougat join in and create an overall picture that is bursting with elegance.

Taste
On the palate, the wine unfolds a play of aromas of ripe pear, honeydew melon and peach that spreads seamlessly across the tongue. Coupled with a fresh salty note and a fine spiciness, this leads to an animating drinking experience. In its complexity, the wine always remains elegant and multi-faceted - a true, pure work of art that shines both solo and in combination with high-quality cuisine.

Please use large glasses and do not forget to decant the wine before enjoying.

Suggested combinations
Try this seductive drop accompanied by dishes such as goat's cheese soufflé with vanilla, Norway lobster carpaccio with apple or roasted veal kidneys with baby carrots and green asparagus in sherry jelly. The wine is an excellent match for fine and elegant dishes that perfectly complement its own clarity and finesse.
