The Domaine Flo Busch of Florian and Paola Busch is located in the Languedoc-Roussillon in the picturesque village of Montpeyroux. After studying oenology and working as cellar master at Domaine d'Auphillac, the two set up their own business in 2018. The vineyards are located in a green valley and are cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics. The Pierre qui Rolle is a cuvée of Grenache blanc and Rolle, aka Vermentino, and was matured on the skins for a good 10 days before being spontaneously fermented in steel.
Color
Bright copper with silky opacity.
Nose
The 2021 Pierre qui Rolle by Flo Busch is expansive and generous on the nose. Its rich bouquet virtually flaunts fruity notes of orange zest, a little bergamot, ripe apricots and a touch of red berry fruit. In addition, there are distinctive tart notes of sage or herbal tea, a little wormwood is also conceivable.
Mouth
On the nose, it is initially contoured by its fine tannin. Aromatic bitterness is followed by notes of dried apricots, orange blossom water and cornel cherries. The acidity is restrained, the driving factor is the fine phenolic and the attractive grip on the palate. Generous type with a warm character.
