Info
The vineyard lives in absolute freedom and is allowed to grow as it pleases. Nature is not pruned in its unfolding. Graupert means wild and stands for and uncut Pinot Gris.
It was read at the end of September.
The Pinot Gris is left to macerate for ten days in steel tanks. The journey then continues in both steel and concrete eggs.
Color
Dense, cloudy orange yellow, very fine perlage
Nose
When you approach the glass to your nose, a multitude of aromas flow directly through. Walnut, pistachio and almond present an enormous range and density of nuttiness. Bergamot, orange and grapefruit are enormously complex. From the zest to the fresh zest to the juice. A little juniper and white pepper provide spice, but above all, cinnamon sticks and star anise become increasingly dominant.
Palate
On the nose, it really pushes the pace. The aroma is identical to the nose, but it is much fresher. It has an enormously dense core and its tannin gives it an austere stamp. The fruit and its strikingly intact acid structure counteract this, so that everything seems positively contrasting and animating. Nuttiness, spice and fruit duel with each other for a long time in the finish.
