Color
Purple with clear violet reflections.
Nose
The 2015 Lo Món shows plenty of sweet fruit, with black cherries, pickled berries, dark chocolate and sweet wood spice. The clear imprint of Mediterranean herbs such as thyme, rosemary and juniper berry gives it a fresh edge.
Palate
On the palate, it surprises with fresh acidity and fine-grained tannin. Its structure makes it an incredibly animating wine to drink. Absolute all-rounder for friends of full-bodied red wines with finesse - one likes to drink one or the other glass more of this drop, which presents itself just at the beginning of its drinking maturity.
Food recommendations by Christina Hilker
- Grilled red peppers stuffed with feta cheese and herbs
- Roast goose with walnuts, thyme and cranberries on red cabbage and ricotta dumplings
- Braised prime rib with avocado and golden brown tortilla chips
