Color:
Bright yellow with green reflections.
Nose:
White flowers, beeswax, some wet wool as well as nutshells and hay outline the first impression of the 2016 Clos de Bourg Sec from Domaine Huet. Notes of apricot tart with salted butter caramel, candied lemon peel and orange blossom get a spicy component from liquorice and wet blackboard chalk.
Mouth:
Tight on the nose with a precise acid structure and fine fruit of yellow pears, apricots and pineapple. Lining the palate, it is complex with great density, the minerality underpins the acidic nerve, the fine phenolic coating this gustatory vibrating strand. Profound and precise, this wine qua its location directly puts 20 beats per minute more on the parquet. Limestone, salt and fruit with extra length on the palate.
