Learn more about the wine:
Clos Troteligotte, created by Emmanuel Rybinski, extends over 19 hectares and has settled on the sublime terroirs of the Cahors appellation. Surrounded by a forest between the Lot valley and the Causses, the limestone plateau of Quercy Blanc, we find Rybinski's vineyards here. Rybinski's faith is firmly rooted in the work and value of the land, while always striving to achieve the perfect balance between vines and soil. To this end, he strictly adheres to the principles of biodynamics.

Clos Troteligotte has practised agronomy since 1987. They see viticulture as part of a health-conscious circular economy. Their observations and experiences with vines, terroir and climate eventually led them to organic certification in 2014 and biodynamic certification according to Demeter guidelines in 2017. The red wines are on the ferruginous clay-limestone terroir of the Cahors Plateau, while the white wines are grown on external 12 hectares on the Quercy Blanc limestone terroirs.

The K-Or, 100% Malbec, comes from the Causses, the white clay-limestone soils of Cahors. The micro-plots with average 30-year-old vines were harvested by hand. After an extended maceration and careful extraction, spontaneous fermentation took place. The following twelve months it matured on the yeast in concrete before it was finally bottled as AOC Cahors without the addition of sulphur.

Nose: The explosive bouquet of the 2020 K-Or under Emmanuel Rybinski combines notes of blueberries, mulberries, candied black cherries, sage, wormwood and fennel herb. Licorice notes and violet pastilles form the bouquet's brilliant finale, while pepper and tobacco give it a masculine touch without masking its feminine note. An amazing fragrance, an enchanting wine!

Palate: The opulent nose retains its charm on the tongue, intensely juicy and fleshy with a cool freshness. Its stimulating acidity and mild tannin make it the perfect companion to hearty dishes with rich sauces. Here is a wine that will leave you with its juiciness and expressiveness.

Alternative food recommendations: Roasted sugar beet with wholemeal croutôns and dandelion, chicken casserole with courgettes and rosemary potatoes, morcilla on sweet potato puree with caramelised onions and red wine sauce.
