Color
Dark purple with violet reflections and black core.
Nose
On the nose, the 2011 Granato from Foradori is a bear of a wine elderberries, cranberries and blackberries. Sour cherries and subtle spicy notes of black pepper, cloves and cinnamon follow. The typical floral notes of the Teroldego follow quietly in the background. The wine is still very youthful and should be aerated, but better disappear in the cellar for at least five to seven years.
Mouth
On the nose, the Granato is incredibly taut and firm. Despite its youth, it already has a juicy, tangy fruit that develops strongly with more and more air. It is very dense, complexly structured with a high inner density and minerality that draws attention to the wine's great potential for development. The vintage already makes the otherwise firm tannins seem quite approachable. A wine with a high fun factor, now or in ten years. When in doubt, buy more.
