About the noble drink
In the middle of the Kientzheimer Furstentum is a 30-year-old plant of the majestic Riesling, carefully grown in lime and limestone gravel.
Colour scheme
An appealing medium straw yellow captures the eye.
Bouquet
The Furstentum Grand Cru opens its doors with a fine, carefully woven scent of orange and lime blossom, accompanied by hints of pineapple and lemon. At the same time, it plays with stony and gently earthy accents that seem rather unobtrusive at first and considerably increase the desire after the first sip.
Taste
On the palate, the Riesling is lively and has a salty note. The fine tannin immediately stands out, giving the wine support and a pleasant structure. Here we have a silky smooth, ripe and at the same time spicy Riesling. The fruity notes of pineapple and ripe lemons interwoven with subtly tart notes of orange peel and grapefruit create a harmonious whole. The finish is long, exceedingly aromatic and testifies to a juicy, fleshy texture.
Recommended food accompaniment
Enjoy it with baked cod fillet with seasonal vegetables and ramen soup, a fiery spiced grilled lobster or as an extravagant variation with a scallop carpaccio with candied citrus fruits.
