Color
Deep cherry red with clear violet reflections.
Nose
On the nose, the 2017 Côtes du Rhône Village Visan Rouge Marius "Père Mayeux" presents beautifully matured aromas of sweet, ripe cherries and berries. The whole is accompanied by oriental spices such as clove, cinnamon, cardamom and star anise, as well as noble Grand Cru chocolate and tobacco and cedar wood aromas.
Palate
The palate is youthful and refreshing with stimulating acidity combined with an equally stimulating and at the same time very nicely matured tannin structure. The finish is long and mineral, it suits it perfectly to be drunk slightly chilled.
