Colour & appearance

In the glass, the wine presents itself in a bright, strong ruby red colour with violet reflections - youthful and inviting.

Nose

The bouquet is remarkably clear. Cherry dominates, flawless and precise, accompanied by spicy notes. Behind this, layers of dried plums, cassis and the characteristic scent of blackcurrant and blackberry leaves unfold. Black pepper and laurel join in, while graphite and pencil notes together with a subtle smoky note lend the wine complexity.

Palate

The 2022 shows its true strength on the palate: freshness, juiciness and drinking pleasure. The cherry fruit combines with fine-grained tannins and a lively acidity structure to create a harmonious whole. The short maceration pays off - the wine remains accessible and supple, almost with the lightness of a white wine. A red wine that does not make you think, but seduces you to drink it.

General information

The cuvée of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot comes from the estate's coldest plots. Hand-picked and chilled, the wine ferments spontaneously at low temperatures (18-22°C). The five-day maceration is deliberately short to avoid extraction. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for five months in stainless steel - no wood notes to distract from the fruit.

A real all-rounder for Italian cuisine: Pasta with tomato sauce, classic or with Salsiccia are perfect partners. Also to Pasta with calamari in tomato sauce the wine harmonises perfectly. Its versatility makes it the ideal accompaniment to everyday cooking.
