Wine information
The 2018 Bandol Rosé is a cuvée of 65 % Mourvèdre and 35 % Cinsaut. The vines stand in an "amphitheatre" facing the sea on Triassic clay, limestone and chalk. The Cinsaut was pressed directly, the Mourvèdre bled over a day using the saignée method. The cuvée of both juices was fermented spontaneously for 20 days at 22 ºC and then aged for six months in stainless steel.

Nose
The Bandol Rosé is an intense representative of this type with a scent of blood oranges and liquorice, cherry blossoms, broom and red berries, in which herbs of Provence, some damp stone and a little ripe peach mix. Thus the rosé shows itself in the classic Bandol style with a lot of power and elegance.
Palate
On the palate it quickly proves that the Bandol Rosé is a true four-season rosé, which shines not least as a virtually universal food companion. It is powerful, full of tension, lively acidity and a silky tannin structure. Aromatically the Rosé between ripe grapefruit and blood orange fruit, some ginger and liquorice. The finish is spicy and slightly tart, which underlines the freshness of this wine.
