Colour & Appearance
Deep, muted violet-red, colour-dense to the rim – a wine that already reveals its concentration and power visually.
Nose
An enchanting interplay of aromas that invites lingering: sweet blackberries, black cherries and cassis meld with elderberry and wild raspberries. Beneath these lie earthy notes of tree bark, leather and cocoa, whilst rosemary, thyme and juniper underscore the Mediterranean provenance. An aromatic profile of primal, almost animalistic intensity.
Palate
Charming and expansive, the wine unfolds with sweet cassis notes, carried by pronounced tannins and stimulating acidity. The 14.5% alcohol is perfectly integrated, lending the wine fullness without heaviness. The texture is dense and silky, with a primal power typical of great Mourvèdre wines from Bandol.
Finish
Long, spicy and persistent with lingering fruit and herbal notes. The fine-grained tannins promise excellent ageing potential.

The vines grow in a unique amphitheatre facing the Mediterranean on clay, limestone and chalk from the Triassic period at 250 metres altitude. This privileged location in Bandol, one of Provence’s most prestigious appellations, fundamentally shapes the character of this exceptional wine.
Grape Variety & Vinification
A blend of 90% Mourvèdre and 10% Grenache from old vines. After three weeks of fermentation, the wines mature in parcels in barriques, tonneaux and large wooden casks of various origins for 20 months. Eric de Saint Victor manages the estate organically with biodynamic practices.
