Wine description for Attis Lias Finas 2023 from Attis Bodegas y Vinedos
Colour & appearance
Clear straw yellow with brilliant reflections that reflect the youth and simultaneous maturity of this exceptional Albariño.
Nose
A fascinating bouquet of remarkable complexity. The ageing on the lees gives the wine a multi-layered aroma, in which precisely defined notes of yellow apples, carambola and raisins interweave with subtle hints of white flowers. The citrus fruit - particularly ripe lemon and limequat - adds a refreshing dimension to the aromatic profile, while a hint of Mediterranean herbs provides additional depth.
Palate
On the palate, the Lias Finas 2023 displays a Impressive texture - Creamy and yet precisely structured. The ageing on the lees has left its mark here and gives the wine an almost tangible texture. The fruit is concentrated and ripe without ever appearing overloaded. The lively acidity perfectly balances the subtle extract sweetness, while subtle hints of aniseed, almond and ginger provide additional complexity. The mineral undertone gives the wine depth and length. An Albariño with remarkable precision and expressiveness.

This Albariño from the heart of the Rias Baixas impressively demonstrates what this Galician region has to offer. Perfectly balanced with 13% alcohol, it shows the signature of a winemaker who combines a traditional understanding of the terroir with modern cellar technology.
Food pairing suggestions
The texture and complexity of this wine calls for sophisticated dishes. Excellent with grilled scallops, Pulpo a la Gallega or Pikeperch fried on the skin. Also to Asian-inspired cuisine with ginger and lemongrass is a revelation.
Special features
The "Lias Finas" (fine yeasts) in the name already indicate the special vinification process. The ageing on the fine lees gives this Albariño an additional dimension that clearly sets it apart from simpler representatives of the region. A wine that is both immediately enjoyable and has the potential for a further 3-4 years of ageing - a rarity for this grape variety.
