Info
The Loureiro vines are located in the Lima sub-region within the DOC Vinho Verde. The harvest took place from 16 to 23 September. All vineyards are exposed to the south. Pressing of the must and natural sedimentation in steel tanks. Chilled fermentation at 16-18°C. The wine then matured on the fine lees for two months before being filtered and bottled. Total sulphur is indicated at 45mg/l.

Nose
The Loureiro by Aphros from 2022 combines maritime freshness with summer fruit on the nose. Orange and grapefruit flow from the glass. Candied orange zest and tangerine skin immediately complement this impression. Aniseed, fennel and artichoke build up in the second row. Lime and kaffir lime are delicately discernible. Sage, mint and tarragon round it off in a spicy, ethereal way. It cannot deny its maritime climate.
Palate
On the palate, it is slender, cool and animating. The delicate 11% alcohol by volume suits it perfectly. It comes across as filigree and at the same time light and fruity. It now shows more facets, ranging from mirabelle to grapefruit to lime. It is stony and refreshingly cool. Its feel is quite bundled and bristles with lightness. The vegetal notes fade into the background and its ethereal spiciness only comes to the fore delicately in the aftertaste.
