The story begins in 2018 in the former historic Wilh. Meuschel winery, which is now run by Markus Heid, himself a VDP organic winemaker from Württemberg, and Lukas Herrmann due to a lack of succession. The name is derived from the Kitzingen monopollage "Wilhemsberg". Markus Heid, is officially the managing director and Lukas Herrmann is the farm manager and the driving force on site. The young career changer from Heidelberg worked for several years in New Zealand, South Africa and Portugal and now feels homesick. Right from the start, the two of them have focused on ecological cultivation in the vineyard and have dispensed with everything unnecessary, both there and in the cellar. In the huge, two-storey underground cellars, the wines are fermented and stored spontaneously with great sensitivity in mostly used wood. Here, unadorned, honest wines are produced, above all Sylvaner, without artificial fruit, but with depth and nevertheless a juicy drinking flow.
