Tasting note
Color:
Sparkling ruby red with violet reflections.
Nose:
An extremely beguiling, feminine aroma of violets, wild raspberry, raspberry jam, sour cherry and elderberry wafts from the glass of the 2022 Marsannay from Trapet Père et Fils. Fine flavours of leather, fine light tobacco and hazelnuts join in. Forest floor, bark and a hint of truffle round off this very harmonious, fine fragrance beautifully.
Palate:
What an invigorating, lively and fresh wine meets our palate here. Stony, cool and mineral impressions sweep animatingly across our tongue. The acidity is pointed and clearly perceptible, the tannins delicate and polished, salty and mineral notes are omnipresent and the finish is extremely stimulating and pleasantly demanding. It is already very enjoyable in its youthful stage, but it will catapult its earthy and profound flavours even more to the fore in the coming years. We can look forward to it.
