Info
The Côtes du Rhône Rouge from the 2020 vintage by Roche-Audran is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan.
Color
Dark cherry red, light violet reflections
Nose
As usual, this wine delivers in full. Rich, dark fruit, full of intensity. It does not even begin to convey a feeling of heaviness. Blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry and sweet cherries are loud in the glass. A little coffee, warm leather and black pepper provide a well-measured portion of spice. Dried herbs like marjoram and thyme support it skilfully. Finally, pansies and violets provide a pleasant floral note.
Palate
And on the palate, it shows an extremely charming, juicy and refreshing side. Astringent on the palate, it makes for a neat gulping reflex. Slim and juicy. It does not lose its full, intense fruit at all. It just seems cool, taut and elegant. A very versatile wine with great drinking pleasure. Sour cherry dominates the finish and is still present on the palate for a long time. Fruit with a fine acidity and always the inclination for the next sip.
