Color
In bright sunflower yellow the wine shows itself clear and with golden shine.
Nose
Tense in the starting position....
Yellow fruit bundles together, as in a homemade peach iced tea with some lime, lemongrass and Moroccan mint and is refined by the abrasion and the whiteness of a grapefruit peel. Compact in itself, the fruity nose suggests juiciness and at the same time seems fresh and precise in the spirit of the 2014 vintage.
Palate
Skilfully off from the starting position for the long-distance...
In addition to the fruity components of the nasal first attack, the 2014 Riesling Raffes from Clemens Busch's Pündericher Marienburg goes one better in terms of exoticism on the palate, bringing a ripe passion fruit into play. Rounded off by a subtly candied aroma of Turkish honey. Soft, yet animating, the wine appears on the palate and henceforth engages in a friendly tug-of-war between chiseling acidity, spurring bitterness and, at 11g/L, a residual sweetness with the comfort of a head massage.
