Sparkling golden yellow
Nose
The 2018 Marienburg Riesling "Felsterrassen" Große Lage reveals in its youthful stage still restrained its complexity and size and is clearly dominated by stony and mineral notes. After a longer opening, aromas of orange, apricot, ripe apple, candied ginger and star anise emerge. Delicate notes of lime blossom and fresh garden herbs hint beautifully.
Palate
On the palate, its fruit mixes with lively fruit sweetness, a stimulating acidity and delicate smoky and stony components. The reverberation is determined by a fine tart note, which gives it an extremely animating finish in the interplay with the charming fruit. A wine that pleasantly challenges the palate and that needs time to present itself in its full size.
If you want to enjoy it now, you should definitely open and decant it early.
