Color
Transparent purple red with violet reflections.
Nose
Raspberries and sour cherries set the tone for the 2014 Pinot Noir Grand P., derived from the Grand Cru site Pfersigberg. Slightly ethereal, some brook mint lingers in the top note, until subtly spicy notes emerge under the dominant fruit sandalwood and vetiver, white pepper and goutweed lay the foundation for the fruit-heavy escapades.
Mouth
The Pinot Noir P. flows over the taster's lips with extract-sweet fruit, dark-berried but never cloying or even overbearing. Transparent and clear and always in flow thanks to the vibrant 2014 acidic nerve, the wine has a graceful depth. Its clear minerality as well as a finely meshed tannin framework already attest it great nobility, but will also let it look distinguished for further years of maturity.
