Nose
The 2022 Siebeldingen Riesling trocken vom Muschelkalk presents itself with stimulating fruit reminiscent of apple, citrus and mandarin and, after a few days of opening, also brings to mind pineapple, apricots and white flowers. The whole is framed by the pronounced minerality of the shell limestone, which gives it depth and density.
Palate
On the palate, it presents the same mineral depth as on the nose. The vibrant acidity is beautifully embedded in the salty minerality and juicy fruit. The long finish tempts you to have another glass and the moderate alcohol content of 11Vol% provides additional stimulation. Very good ageing potential.
At this stage, it should be decanted if possible and it presents itself fresh and youthful even after several days of opening.
