This exclusive drop is the quintessence of a cuvée consisting of 90% Corinto and 10% Nero d'Avola, grown at an altitude of 350m on volcanic and sandy terrain. Its natural purity is preserved by spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels and subsequent stabilisation in steel tanks. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.

The 2018 Nero Ossidiana has the aroma of a fully matured red wine blend that comes from juicy wild raspberries, cranberries, blackberries and subtly sweet plum jam. This fruity aroma is flattered by smoky undertones that evoke associations of light tobacco, cedar wood, freshly ground pepper and grilled meat. A gentle breeze of chocolate joins in to complete a charmingly Sicilian fragrance with elegance.
On the palate, it delights with rich fruitiness, invigorating acidity, robust minerality and a finely structured tannin structure that challenges but remains pleasing at the same time. It is the ideal companion for hearty, flavourful, Italian-inspired dishes.
Pasta with lots of greens - spinach, capers, cocktail tomatoes and garlic chips makes a fitting base. Poultry bites on linguine, served with walnut sauce and a drizzle of maraschino saffron sauce.
