The Pranzegg winery is named after the estate where Martin Gojer has been producing his wines since 2009 as a reflection of their origin, the vintage and the family's way of life. Above the Bolzano valley basin, Gojer's vineyards are farmed biodynamically by hand, and in the cellar, too, less is more Long fermentation and long maturation periods on the full lees with the addition of only small amounts of sulphur characterise the wines, which are always bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The 2022 MIAU! and is a cuvée of 90% Lagrein and 10% Vernatsch and was bottled this year with second fermentation as Rifermentato instead of Ancestrale.
Color
Bright garnet red with silky opacity.
Nose
The 2022 MIAU from Pranzegg is unashamedly showy on the nose with vegetal and fruity aromas, without wanting to commit to one or the other. Like in a kaleidoscope, the aromatic facets alternate between pomegranate, cherries and fresh raspberries from the bush, until floral notes of lilac, mallow and hibiscus take over. Lemon balm and St. John's leaves complete the fruity, joyful round dance and make the cup empty quickly.
Mouth
On the palate, the fruity cascades are underpinned by the yeast, which is in the bottle as a light deposit and gives it its creamy texture - be careful when pouring! Refreshing, nourishing and refreshing, the cup is brought to the lips again and again, refreshed by fresh fruit and animatingly tart tannin, which acts more as a prompter than as a gustatory guard rail. Fruity, light-hearted and with an erratically short half-life.
