Wine information
The Sangiovese was harvested between 21 and 30 September and fermented for 29 days. The wine was aged for 23 months in small wood and in large barrels.

Nose
The long barrel ageing gives the ripe and juicy Sangiovese fruit structure and depth. Cherries are naturally in the foreground here, which oscillate aromatically between juicy sour cherries and black cherries. In addition, there is a small piece of Black Forest cherry as well as a hint of cinnamon and cloves, of almonds and a portion of orange peel, which results in a very attractive overall composition.
Mouth
Freshness and elegance are balanced in this single-varietal Sangiovese. The quite present but fine wood is very well integrated, the fruit is juicy and fresh, which is a very pleasant trademark of Corzano e Paterno. Even if it does not say Chianti, it is always a bit of classic Chianti with a stringent acidity, and this is combined with a lightness that seems lively and relaxed in this quite complex representative. The tannin is velvety and fine, the fruit dense with lots of black cherries, coated with chocolate, some vanilla and spices.
