Color
Dense purple, violet reflections
Nose
Intense and voluptuous, the fruit pours out of the glass. The darkest fruits, blackberries, cassis and elderberries, lead the way. Mulberries, figs and blueberries build up pressure from the second row. The fruit is balanced by floral notes of violets, lilac and pansies. 2020 Vilain presents a little thyme and rosemary in the background. Lavender as well as a hint of juniper add an ethereal final moment.
Palate
On the palate, it is compact and juicy. The fruit is lusciously concentrated. With a sweet core, the fruit is counterbalanced by a restrained acidity. A light tannin forms the substructure and further points of contrast to the intense fruit. The fruit is always clearly in control. They are omnipresent for a long time in the finish as well. Full of finesse and cool elements, it makes for easy drinking and quickly empty glasses. Fortunately, the 2020 Vilain comes in an elegant outfit. Timeless, true to style and with a little glitter.
