Information about wine
The Côtes du Rhône blanc, Vincent Rochette's basic wine, is a cuvée of about two thirds Grenache blanc as well as Viognier and Bourboulenc. The 20 to 30-year-old vines are planted in Buisson in a four-hectare vineyard characterised by clay and limestone in the subsoil and alluvial alluvium and gravel in the topsoil. The yield is about 30 hl per hectare. The wine is fermented spontaneously and matures one third in wood and two thirds in stainless steel.

Nose
This white cuvée from Vincent Rochette offers a fresh and delicately spicy nose of jasmine, vinegars, lemons and pineapple combined with fennel greens and a little aniseed. The wine is bright, spicy and slightly tart. One can only sense the southernness in that the slightly tart spiciness overlays the restrained fruit. The wine does not seem warm or expansive at all.
Palate
On the palate, the origin of the Côtes du Rhône blanc 2022 but then clearer. The spiciness is even more concise, especially since there is also a good portion of liquorice and lanolin mixed in with the anise and fennel seeds. In addition, there is a juicy, citrusy, slightly tart fruit, a silky acidity and a light tannin. Year after year, this is an excellent white Rhône table wine to accompany southern dishes.
