Color
Dark purple with a purple rim and opaque core, the wine is clear and bright in the glass.
Nose
...when they're tinkering in the gingerbread house.
The aroma of this ideal Tempranillo from the Toro impresses with the harmony of dark berry fruit and spice. On the, in itself resting, base of plum jam, plum roast and blueberry muffins this wine moves leisurely into the spice kitchen.
Nutmeg, cinnamon and star anise, fennel and coriander seeds, as well as cardamom and allspice unite in symbiosis. Everything that belongs in a decent gingerbread spice.
Palate
On the palate, the 2016 Corral de Campanas from Quinta Quietud relies entirely on its fruity and tender side. Black cherry and blackberry shine freshly and clearly from an aromatic thicket of black tea and intense mulled wine. Filigree and supple tannins give the Tempranillo a velvety coating in addition to the ripe, warm fruit.
Lean back is the motto.
This is a wine for the well-being.
