Color
Dark strawberry red, with dark features and light brown reflections, intense mousseux at the beginning
Nose
The nose is conspicuously unfruity and is much more characterised by spice. Sweet cherry, strawberry and a little blueberry and blackberry are only slightly recognisable. It shows nuances of fennel and coriander seeds, some white pepper and lovage. Juniper and cardamom add plenty of spice. On the herbal side, it now also clearly picks up speed and reveals marjoram, sage and thyme. Green walnuts and pistachio only make a restrained appearance.
Palate
It literally lives the word "leggero". It prances light-footedly along the palate. The fruit remains slender and discreet, but is much more pronounced. The flavour of balsamic and ethereal elements is enormously appealing. The mousseux lends it a little melting and balances it out. The interplay of mouthfeel and gripping acidity structure is convincing. The aromas of roasted hazelnuts and walnuts are extremely striking and clearly characterise the finish.
