Nose
On the nose, 2020 Phaunus Loureiro Orange convinces with an intense floral note. Orange blossom, camomile and daisies can be found in the glass. Orange appears in numerous variations, zest, candied, bitter oranges. Grapefruit and bergamot also find their place in this range. Red currant and a little cinnamon flavour have a very delicate effect in the background.
Palate
Now it really gets going. Full-bodied and literally a "mouthful of wine". But not thick or heavy. The combination of light tannin, bitterness and tangy acidity works very well here. Full of finesse and lightness - at a slender 11.0% alcohol by volume - it offers a high drinking flow. Nothing is unwieldy, nothing is off-putting. The juiciness is good and the astringency additionally promotes the swallowing reflex. The orange still clearly characterises the reverberation in great facet richness.
