Color
Bright pale yellow, green reflections.
Nose
The 2017 Daphne from Aphros Wines is powerful with nutty notes. Aged to 70% in concrete and to 30% in chestnut barrels, it also shows itself gripping on the nose with notes of stone fruit and acacia.
Mouth
On the palate, the Daphne demonstrates what 12 hours of maceration and skillful aging are capable of bringing out of the delicate Loureiro. Grown in the highest vineyards of the winery, it is juicy with aromatic complexity within the bounds of what the leptosome Loureiro allows. Mild acidity carries the creamy feel and makes it a versatile food companion.
