Sparkling cherry red with light and slightly brown reflections
Nose
Blackberry, raspberry and redcurrant are in the front row, along with sweet cherry. Vanilla and cinnamon add a welcome spice. Plum jam, boiled-down dark fruits and the general idea of rather baked fruit served warm are not to be dismissed. The spiciness also finds strong partners in nuances of milk chocolate and cocoa butter. Light tobacco leaves, liquorice and vegetal notes of fennel and artichoke round it off. Delicate smoky notes of bacon and campfire arrive with time in the glass. After Eight chocolate as well as salmiak pastilles again combine this dark side with plenty of ethereal freshness.
Palate
Right from the first sip, the Vermut Tintorro underlines its elegant side. A finely structured acidity clearly characterises it and draws it out well. It is also thanks to the acid structure that the Vermut Tintorro literally contracts. Lean and racy. Dark herbal spice, strongly marked by sage, rosemary and thyme. Barberry, cranberry and goji berries are strongly reminiscent of an urban granola bar. The tart components step discreetly back into the second row. It seems enormously dry and only a little sweetness comes to the fore in the middle of the tongue. In the aftertaste, the ethereal nuances are clearly active again. Licorice, mint, eucalyptus and after eight chocolate.
