Nose

Tinta Fina - also called Tempranillo - can be so beguiling and inviting on the nose. Coconut flakes, a hint of vanilla and black pepper have a directional effect. Cinnamon plums, cinnamon grind and cloves make you drift strongly into the cold season. Sweet cherries, blackberry, cassis and elderberry then open up an open and expansively fruity style. Violets and lilacs buzz around in the background in the glass. Mediterranean accents are set by sage and rosemary. Mint and eucalyptus provide the necessary freshness. Pine needles and the scent of pine forests now spread around the glass. The roasted aromas are so ingeniously balanced that they do not seem overpowering at all.

Palate

On the palate, it is at its best. It flows over the palate like silk. Sublime, majestic and generous. A very fine-grained tannin envelops the palate. It seems fleshy in texture and bloody at the same time. The minerality paired with a very well-integrated acidity deliver an interplay. These two protagonists clearly shape the mouthfeel. The acidity makes it enormously juicy and animating. A sip of Abri Las Alas is like biting into a handful of fresh berries. Luca d'Attomo masters the integration of wood like no other. Slight bitterness as well as ethereal notes additionally stimulate the drinking flow.
