Wine information
The 2021 B.B.H.M. is a local Riesling wine from Trapet in Beblenheim. Pierre and Louis' great-grandparents had planted around one hectare of Riesling on Jurassic limestone. Today, it is vinified in concrete eggs.
Color
medium, radiant straw yellow
Nose
The Riesling with the abbreviation B.B.H.M. smells bright and clear. It is clearly reminiscent of Amalfi lemons and a little of cedrat lemons, which combine with a hint of reduction, i.e. a certain smokiness, and with a lot of limestone and herbs. On top are white flowers with a very fine sweetness.
Palate
On the palate, the Riesling is characterised by a deep mineral vibration that combines congenially with the ripe, lively acidity. One has an immediate electrifying impression on the tip of the tongue that never leaves it. This is further supported by the rich citrus fruit and the crunchy stone fruit. There is also a salty note here. The B.B.H.M. is powerful and penetrating, but at the same time bright and fresh with a slight spiciness.
