Wine information
The cuvée of 50 per cent each Garnacha and Cariñena comes from grapes from different vineyards in the Priorat growing region. Winemakers Dominik Huber and Tatjana Peceric rely on a relatively early harvest and careful extraction. They thus exemplify the approach of a new generation of Spanish winemakers, who are concerned with freshness and delicacy rather than dark colour and density. The vinification took place mainly in concrete tanks.
Color
Cherry red, bright and transparent
Nose
The bouquet contains fresh red fruits like wild strawberries and cherries and also hints of dried Mediterranean herbs. The nose is clear, precise and straightforward.
Palate
This red wine should be aerated so that it can unfold its full beauty. On the palate, it has a juicy, almost crisp attack, and the red fruit is joined by a good portion of minerality. The wine also has tension and a taut vertical pull. The chalky tannin provides a dry finish with good length. This is a Priorat representative that is not characterised by heaviness and extraction, but is defined by slenderness and elegance. The blend of the two most important grape varieties of the Priorat does not show the hot, but the sensual and refreshing side of the Mediterranean. The focus here is clearly on freshness and drinkability.
