Wine information
The word eúxenos comes from the ancient Greek and means hospitable. It was engraved on some wine amphorae that were recovered from a shipwreck dating back to 300 BC in 1996 a few hundred metres off the coast of Lipari. This Eúxenos This wine is a Malvasia delle Lipari from volcanic sand. The trees are grown in the Alberello system at 350 metres above sea level. The grapes were harvested by hand in the last days of September. After destemming and gentle crushing of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation took place in a cocciopesto amphora. Fermentation and maceration with the skins regularly immersed lasted around 60 days. The wine then matured for a further ten months in amphorae.

light gold
Nose
The nose of this amphora wine is reminiscent of white peach, candied pineapple and fig, almonds tossed in honey as well as fennel, thyme and maquis. The wine is intense, serious and yet charming.
Palate
On the palate the Eúxenos Intense and multi-layered. The fruit is complemented by yellow kiwis and grapefruit with zest. What is particularly impressive, however, is the striking tannin, which is excellently integrated, accompanied by plenty of juice and fullness as well as a lively acidity that offers plenty of pressure. All of this is very well balanced in this wine.
